Paradise Police say a report of a bomb at Paradise Intermediate School Thursday afternoon turned out to be unfounded.

Officials say a student was walking near the school Thursday afternoon when a white man around 25-years-old walking the opposite direction indicated there was a bomb at the school. The student reported the comment to the office and the Paradise Police were called.

Police evacuated the campus around 3:40 p.m. Students with the boys and girls club after school program as well as the basketball team were transported to Paradise Elementary School.

Police then conducted a comprehensive search of the school and did not find anything out of the ordinary.

Students and staff were allowed to return to campus around 5 p.m. The suspect is still at large.
