BOLT'S ANTIQUE TOOL MUSEUM TO FEATURE
Evolution of Tools Presentations
Bolt's Antique Tool Museum on Broderick Street in Oroville will feature two Evolution of Tools presentations next month, which are part of the "History in Your Hands Program." Museum Founder, Bud Bolt, will be on hand to provide facts and folklore for history and tool buffs. Presentations for the Evolution of Tools series will start at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 12th and on Wednesday, November 20th.
The museum opened in 2006 and features tools used in the United States and tools from 4000 years ago, including items thought to be made by Egyptians and Romans in 400 B.C.
A barbed-wire collection, old gas pumps, blacksmith tools and 125 tools representing 51 different railroads provides insight into earlier times in the United States.
The museum also has a gift shop.
The "History in your Hands" program is designed for ten to fifty participants and is held at the museum. There is a $3.00 per person fee and the museum can assist groups with luncheon arrangements. The programs are interactive. More information about the museum is available at www.boltsantiquetools.com.
