Holly Hansard and her dad have owned their home in Weed since 1981. On Monday morning Hansard's single story home was standing tall just like all the others in the neighborhood.
"My house was right here." Holly Hansard says.
On Tuesday Hansard saw what is left of Angel Valley and her home for the first time.
"This is the first time I am seeing this and this is big" Hansard said. She says the only things she has left are her two kids and her late fathers dog.
The home and the memories are gone, but despite the devestation and no home insurance, Hansford is remaining optimistic.
"My first thing to be I guess will to start taking things to the dump." she says. "It looks like a bomb went off."
As for what's next, Hansford says she doesn't know, but she is thankful for being alive and keeping Weed's tight nit community together is one of her main priorities.
