The body of a Chico man missing in a remote area of Eastern Oregon was found Saturday morning.

The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office says the body of 69-year-old Si Wrigley was found around 9 a.m. Saturday, about five miles from where Wrigley’s truck and 5th wheel trailer was found stuck on August 18.

Wrigley was spotted by an air search team roughly one mile off the road, and a BLM helicopter was able to transport him back to the road.

Friends say Wrigley had left for an extended fishing trip about three weeks ago. He was last heard from when he stopped at a tire shop in Bend, Oregon.
