Temperatures will continue to be very hot for your Monday afternoon, but there is some relief from the heat on the way. There will also be the chance for some wet, and active weather ahead in your work week forecast, and this afternoon is no exception. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 60's to low 70's in the valley this morning, and will be climbing into the mid to high 90's this afternoon. Mountain areas are starting off in the mid 40's to low 50's, and will have high temperatures resting in the mid 80's to mid 90's.
Mostly sunny skies are over the north state for the start of your Monday, but partly cloudy skies, and the chance for some active conditions look to return this afternoon. There is a slight chance for some sprinkles to fall in the valley this morning, and the chance for showers, and thunderstorms will return to the mountains this afternoon. The best chance for the showers, and thunderstorms will rest in the areas closest to the Oregon border, and the Northeast corner of the state.
Temperatures will take a significant drop across the region by midweek. Valley locations will fall from the mid to high 90's to start the week to the low to mid 80's on Thursday. There will also be another chance for showers, and thunderstorms returning to the region on Wednesday, and Thursday.
I hope everyone is able to beat the heat on this marvelous Monday, and is able to enjoy the much cooler temperatures heading for the north state!
