Mostly sunny skies, and warmer afternoon temperatures are ahead for the north state in your Wednesday forecast. Valley locations are starting out slightly cooler than 24 hours ago, with most locations falling into the mid to high 30's. Mountain areas are several degrees warmer than this time yesterday, with low to mid 20's in the Cascades, and low to mid 30's in the Northern Mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the mid 60's to mid 70's in the valley this afternoon, and high 50's to mid 60's in the higher elevations later on today. Winds are mostly expected to be around 10mph out of the North.
Big changes arrive in your late week forecast. Showers will begin to arrive in the Northern Mountains towards the latter part of your Thursday, and will spread through the entire region on Friday. Snow levels will drop to around 3500 feet from this approaching system. There will also be a chance of thunderstorms ahead for the valley on Friday and Saturday.
I hope everyone enjoys the warm weather ahead for today, gets ready for the wet weather arriving late this week, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
