Two homeless dogs have become quite the internet sensation. Neighbors living around Blooming Mountain in Berry Creek first noticed the pair roaming around in February. They assumed they belonged to someone in the area. Then, they say they realized the dogs were getting thin, but the animals were too skittish to come close. Some neighbors began feeding them. In August, a couple noticed the dogs on the north fork of the Feather River, took a picture of them and posted it to the missing pet Cody Alert Facebook page. Several people organized searches, and set out by boat, on horseback, and from the air. Neighbors saw the dogs on the news, and assured everyone that they were trying to catch the animals. Donations have poured in for dog food to help neighbors with the expense.
