The new non-profit "Butte Diaper Bank" is hosting a fall fundraiser called "Mimosa Morning" at the Chico Women's Club on Sunday, November 15th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Diaper Bank was started in July by two local mothers who read an article describing the results of a study about the impacts of inadequate access to clean diapers. It's estimated one in three mothers struggle to keep enough clean diapers on hand, mainly due to finances. Sometimes it comes down to choosing between paying rent, putting food on the table or buying diapers. Impacts on babies include increasing the risk for urinary tract infections, staph infections, diaper rash and more ...

The Butte Diaper Bank operates under the the Chico Community Foundation and more support is welcome.

The "Mimosa Morning" event on Sunday will feature brunch treats, mimosas for sale, a silent auction and raffle. Children are welcome. Financial and Diaper donations are encouraged at the door. The Chico Women's Club is located at 592 East 3rd Street.
