Friday turned into a gorgeous day around the North Valley, with afternoon thunderstorms in the Sierra. Those storms will dry up overnight, and we'll be left with a beautiful weekend coming our way!
Our storm from Thursday moved into southern California today, but still managed to wrap a bit of moisture back into the Sierra Nevada this afternoon... resulting in scattered thunderstorms there. Those will diminish shortly after sunset, and not return again Saturday. The Valley enjoyed wonderful temperatures and no more wind! High pressure will strengthen a bit this weekend, so our temperatures will warm some... but not too bad.
High pressure will weaken next week, allowing our temperatures to cool back down. One weak storm will move into Oregon early in the week and could spark a few more mountain thunderstorms. A stronger storm will target the North State late next week, and this time of year... that means thunderstorms in the Valley! It's a bit early for the particulars, but right now it's looking like next Friday could be an active day.
But until then... enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!
