French bulldogs aren't large and they don't look too intimidating, but they can be just as tough as their bigger bully-breed cousins when it comes to protecting their family and territory.
That's the lesson two young bears in Monrovia, California learned when they attempted to approach a home that was under the watchful eye of one 20-pound pooch named Jewels.
The curious cubs wandered up to the steps in front of Jewels' house, and that's all it took! The Frenchie bolted forward and charged the intruders, quickly showing them who's boss of the bears.
One cub stood up and tried to look fierce, but it did nothing to deter the dog, who chased them right over the gate.
