A bear stuck in a Tracy, California neighborhood tree for nearly two hours was caught Wednesday afternoon by Fish and Wildlife officers.

Tracy firefighters assisted the officers with tranquilizing the female bear and catching her fall with a large tarp.

"Our primary mission was to come out and see if we can brace this fall," said Andy Kellogg, division chief of the Tracy Fire Department. "This was my first bear rescue in 30 years."

"I was kind of excited. I wasn't really afraid that the bear was going to run off onto us or anything like that," said Moises Nunez, who lives in the neighborhood.
