The Butte County Sheriff’s Office is holding a food drive to benefit the Oroville Rescue Mission, an organization that historically runs low on vital supplies during the holidays.
The mission feeds the needy year-round, but are asking for help as we approach Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Non-perishable items are preferred, but all donations will be accepted.
Specific holiday needs include stuffing mix, canned green beans, canned corn, canned yams, and cranberry sauce.
Donations can be dropped off now through November 15 at the sheriff’s office main lobby at 33 County Center Drive in Oroville or at the Chico substation at 479 East Park Avenue.
