BCSO: Home intruder story fabricated after woman shot lover

Sheriff's deputies say a woman who claimed to have shot a suspected intruder in Oroville Monday morning, actually shot the man after he threatened to expose their relationship to her boyfriend.

According to the Butte County sheriff's office, Noemis Bandomourra, 28, of Oroville, had been having an intimate relationship with the shooting victim, when he threatened to tell her boyfriend about the relationship, she shot him.

When deputies arrived at the Misty View Way home, Bandomourra was frantic and covered in blood. She told investigators the man she shot had broken into her home.

The shooting victim was airlifted to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Bandomourra has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
