It's that time of year again! School is starting up and with it comes the Back-to-School shopping.

The National Retail Federation released the latest numbers. This year parents nationwide are expected to spend nearly $75 Billion.

The average family with a child in K-12 is expected to spend nearly $670. That's up 5% from last year.

College students and their parents are expected to spend up to $916. That's up 10% from last year.

With the nation's economy improving, that number is expected to go up, but Parents are still being careful with their money.

While clothes are at the top of most people's shopping list, the average family can expect to pay more than $100 on things like pens, paper, and calculators.

Experts say as school budgets tighten, parents are being asked to buy more of their child's supplies.
