Autopsy results released by the Glenn County Sheriff's Office confirmed that 6-year-old Jadianna Larsen, whose body was found burned on a rural Glenn County road last month, died of blunt force trauma.

According to a news release from the Glenn County Sheriff's Office, the autopsy determined that Larsen's death was caused by bi-lateral acute subdural hematoma, due to cranial injuries from blunt-force trauma. The findings confirm that the girl died from severe bleeding in her brain caused by a blow to the head.

The autopsy does not reveal what type of object caused Larsen's injuries.

The death has been ruled a homicide and the investigation is being handled by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.

The boyfriend of Jadianna's mother, Juan Rivera, has been charged in the girl's death.
