LOS ANGELES (AP) - An autopsy report for a Southern California mayor who was shot to death by his wife includes detailed allegations of domestic abuse spanning two decades.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the daughter of Bell Gardens Mayor Daniel Crespo told investigators hours after the fatal September shooting that her father had become more physically abusive toward her mother in the last two years amid arguments over his infidelity.

The coroner's report says Crespo and his wife, Lyvette Crespo, were not sleeping in the same room and he would drag her by the hair to force her to do so.

The report says Lyvette Crespo shot her husband three times in the chest at close range. She said she shot her husband in self-defense while he attacked their son.
