North State law enforcement agencies are searching for a man who fled from officers during a traffic stop that yielded meth, weapons, ammunition, cash and stolen property.

California Highway Patrol Officers stopped a silver Dodge Ram with an Arizona license plate on southbound I-5 near Gillman Road in the Lakehead area around 7:15 a.m.

The driver fled, and a subsequent search of his truck turned up methamphetamine, cash, ammunition and stolen property.

According to the CHP, the driver ran away on foot, crossing the highway and jumping a perimeter fence before ultimately disappearing in a heavily wooded area.

The surrounding area was searched by multiple agencies, but the driver was never spotted.

The California Highway Patrol Northern Division has issued a bulletin asking all surrounding agencies to be on the lookout for a Hispanic male with short black hair wearing a black shirt and gray shorts.
