The Glenn County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Monday evening boating accident that resulted in one man being air-lifted to a local hospital.
Emergency responders received reports of a boating accident on the Sacramento River near the Butte City boat ramp just after 7:20 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say initial reports indicate that two boats collided when one made an abrupt right turn in the path of another.
The driver of the second boat, 38-year-old Jamie Michelle McDonald of Willows was uninjured, but the driver of the first boat, 42-year-old John Douglas Montz Jr. had to be transported by helicopter to a local hospital with a leg injury.
The Glenn County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation.
