Authorities Investigate Multiple Shootings in Shasta Co.

The first shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday night at 16182 Keswick Dam Road. Shasta County Sheriff's deputies say Nickole Herrington and Brandon Siders had met up with Jade Brewer and Richard Jones for a marijuana transaction. That's when Jones reportedly shot Siders in an apparent robbery attempt. Siders was taken to the hospital, treated for his injury and released. Brewer was arrested and booked into Shasta County Jail for robbery. Deputies are still looking for Jones who is considered armed and dangerous at this time. He is described as a 23 year-old white man, around 6 feet tall, weighing about 140 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes, with a tattoo of the word "Respect" on his lower left arm. If you have any information on his whereabouts you are asked to call the Shasta County Sheriff's Office.

The second incident happened yesterday morning around 10:50 a.m. on the 13000 block of Fern Road East in Whitmore. The victim, Carl Storms, 54, says that the suspects demanded his belongings and then shot him. Storms was sent to the hospital for a single gunshot wound. At this time we do not know the extent of his injuries and the suspects have not been identified.

UPDATE: It has been reported that Richard Jones turned himself in to Shasta County Sheriffs at the Shasta County Jail around 10:00 AM yesterday morning.
