During the week of August 4th Trinity County authorities busted six marijuana grows with ties to Hispanic drug trade organizations.
The investigation and operation was carried out in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest by the Trinity County Narcotics Task Force, United States Forest Service, North State Marijuana Investigation Team and Campaign Against Marijuana Planting.
During the weeklong operation six illegal growing sites were busted, all of which were positively linked to Hispanic drug trade organizations by investigators. In addition to the six grows raided, 68,472 marijuana plants, 6,035 pounds of processed marijuana were seized and arrested six people were arrested.
Since January 1 the Trinity County Narcotics Task Force has eradicated over 124,444 growing marijuana plants, seized over 6,470 pounds of processed marijuana and have arrested 14 people.
