Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies were called out to the Buckeye Grange on Lake Boulevard around 3:45 a.m. this morning for a report of a burglary in progress. A witness told police that there was possibly smoke coming from the building. The citizen also reported seeing movement and lights inside. Deputies say when they arrived on scene they could hear voices coming from inside the building, and found a broken window. Deputies asked the people inside to come out. When they refused, a K-9 was sent in. Cody Dulik, 18, of Shasta Lake was found hiding inside, along with 2 juveniles. Deputies discovered that fire extinguishers had been discharged in the building. Authorities say, some of the walls had holes in them and some were spray painted. They also found broken glass and miscellaneous items that had been thrown around. Deputies say there was evidence that marijuana had been smoked and alcohol was consumed inside the Grange. Dulik and the two teens were arrested for burglary, vandalism, and conspiracy.
