A year ago, Attorney General Kamala Harris had no reportable income to disclose when she filed her annual conflict-of-interest statement.

This year, she reported investments possibly topping $1 million after her marriage last summer to Douglas Emhoff. The state Fair Political Practices Commission received her statement Tuesday.

Emhoff is partner in charge of the Los Angeles office of the Venable LLP law firm.

He values his stake in the firm at up to $1 million, and his annual income as over $100,000.

He also reported ownership in a parking lot firm, and up to $310,000 in stocks, including American Express, Caterpillar, Comcast Corp., Walt Disney, FedEx and Hewlett Packard.

Harris, a Democrat, is running for the U.S. Senate next year. She stressed that Emhoff's money is held separately.
