UPDATE: Several witnesses are reporting to Oroville Police Department that they may have located the suspected vehicle in the attempted kidnapping Tuesday afternoon in Oroville.
Police confirmed that several witnessed called reported that they spotted the suspected vehicle, a blue four-door sedan, believed to be a Mazda 3, in the vicinity of Stanford Avenue School in Oroville around 7:50 a.m.
Since then, more witnesses have reported to have seen the vehicle in the area.
Witnesses said the driver and vehicle matched the description of individual responsible for the attempted kidnapping.
The subject in the vehicle, who matched the description from yesterday’s incident, waved at the juveniles then drove away. The juveniles described the same vehicle as yesterday’s incident.
The attempted kidnapping occurred on the 1400 block of Bird Street around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, when a man pulled up a blue, four-door vehicle and tried to grab a 14-year-old girl by her arm.
She escaped from his grasp and fled the area. The victim reported the man got back in his car.
