A juvenile accused of starting a series of fires near Sacred Heart School in Red Bluff over the last two months was arrested late last week.
Cal Fire officials say the juvenile was arrested Thursday on five counts of arson for allegedly setting seven fires near Sacred Heart School off Monroe Street in August and September.
The fires reportedly burned six acres of vegetation, damaged a residence, carport and a fence.
With fire danger high, officials say residents should be vigilant in their preparedness and aware of suspicious persons when a fire does start. If you witness someone suspicious make note of the time, his or her physical description, as well as any vehicle description, including the license plate number.
