The Tehama County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of 19-year-old Gabino Madera for the murder of 24-year-old Walter Dewayne Dani on July 9.

Dani was shot outside the Crossroads market in Gerber and investigators say three men fled the scene in an older maroon "boxy" style sedan.

Investigators believe 19-year-old Poly Duenas Sanchez, of Corning, shot 24-year-old Walter Dewayne Dani, of Red Bluff, in the head. Investigators have also arrested and charged 19-year-old Lucio Madera with an open count of murder and have issued an arrest warrant for Gabino Madera.

The Sheriff's Office is still actively pursuing Gabino Madera (see photo above).

Anyone with information about this case or Gabino Madera's whereabouts should contact the Tehama County Sheriff's Office at (530) 529-7920 or at 22840 Antelope Blvd. Red Bluff, CA 96080.
