The Weed Police Department has confirmed that an arrest has been made in the Boles Fire.

24 year old Weed resident Ronald Beau Marshall was arrested Saturday morning. Marshall had been a person of interest throughout the investigation of the Boles Fire incident. Marshall was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail on a felony warrant with charges of Arson of an Inhabited Structure or Property, Arson of a Structure or Forest, and Arson of Property of Another. Bail was set at $250,000.

The investigation has been a joint effort between the Weed Police Department, Siskiyou County Sheriff's Department, and Cal-Fire investigators. The case was presented to the Siskiyou County District Attorney's office earlier in the week for review, and then taken before a Superior Court Judge who issued a warrant for Marshall's arrest.

Although an arrest had been made, details on how the fire exactly started will not be released as the investigation is ongoing.
