A Chico school was locked down Monday morning as an AB 109 suspect led police on a pursuit through a nearby neighborhood.
At approximately 8:45 a.m. Police saw 24-year-old Patrick Rollins of Chico, who was in violation of his parole, riding in a car around 1st and Arbutus Streets. Police stopped the car and the driver 29-year-old Christine Rogers, of Chico, cooperated with officers, but Rollins fled the scene on foot.
Police ordered the lockdown of Hooker Oak Elementary School as officers searched for Rollins, who was being considered armed and dangerous after two loaded weapons were found in the vehicle he feld from.
Officers found Rollins hiding in a closet in a garage about an hour later. He surrendered to a K9 officers and was arrested.
Rollins is being charged with possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle and felon in possession of a firearm. Rogers was also arrested for possession of methamphetamine and for having a loaded concealed firearm in the vehicle.
