Redding police officers Tuesday night arrested the woman wanted for assaulting a store manager earlier this month. The manager of the Sav.Mor grocery store on Westside Road snapped a picture of the woman when she confronted her about shoplifting back on May 8th. The woman allegedly punched the manager and ran off. After the picture was widely distributed on local media and Face Book the woman was later identified as 23-year-old Jennifer Cooper, who was wanted for outstanding warrants. On Tuesday night police spotted her in the area of Hilltop Drive and Cypress Avenue. Cooper tried to get away, but was taken into custody near the Interstate 5 on-ramp. Officers say Cooper admitted stealing food from the store and punching the manager. She was booked into the Shasta County Jail.
