Go for the Gold!
That's the theme for this year's Butte County Fair!
The family fun event is already underway and will continue until Sunday.
Friday, check out the Monster Truck show, Saturday, rope in the fun at the Diamond W National Bull Riding Championship Extreme and Sunday head to the Destruction Derby show. The fair is taking place at the Fairgrounds in Gridley.
In Corning, The 19th Annual Olive Festival Parade is taking place this Friday, followed by the bed races. It starts at six in the evening on Solano Street. Saturday, start your day with a pancake breakfast, then work off what you ate at the Fun Run/Walk and finally enjoy the rest of the day with arts, crafts and a talent show at 2:00 p.m. The fun takes place at Woodson City Park.
What if you could communicate with friends and family member who have passed away? Well, if you can't, the next best thing is seeing someone who can! Internationally acclaimed clairvoyant Lisa Williams will be performing this Friday at the Redding Convention Center, and will be doing readings for members of the audience. Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
Come listen to the sounds of Native American Heritage! The annual Paradise Pow Wow runs this Saturday and Sunday from noon to five at the Gold Nugget Museum on Pearson Road. The traditional event will feature over 50 tribal drummers and dancers. Admission is free.
