Willows police say a man suspected of robbing the Shell Station on Wood Street Wednesday morning, called officers from Kentucky Fried Chicken to confess and turn himself in just two hours later.

Officers responded to a holdup alarm, and found a handgun nearby. The suspect however had fled the scene on foot, and was not located.

Around 1 p.m., 29-year-old Jovi Pannyasee called 911 from the KFC on Humboldt Avenue. Pannyasee told officers he committed the gas station robber and wanted to turn himself in.

Officers took Pannyasee into custody without incident and he's been booked into the Glenn County Jail on suspicion of robbery.
