A Redding man is behind bars after police say he pointed a loaded 12 gauge shotgun and threatened to kill his brother-in-law,and his own children.
The family disturbance call came in from a home on Paso Drive at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.
36 year old Xiong Moua was reported to be intoxicated and despondent over marital issues when he got into an argument with his brother-in-law, and the situation escalated.
The brother in law struggled with Moua and was able to disarm him, before fleeing to safety with the children to a neighbors house.
When police arrived they found Moua passed out in his vehicle, in the driveway of his home.
Officials say his level of intoxication was so high they took him to the hospital for treatment, before booking Moua into the Shasta County jail on $500 thousand dollars bail.
He is facing charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Making Criminal Threats and Endangering a Child.###
