Nearly a year after shutting down, Anselmo Vineyards is just three days away from reopening its doors.
Zoning disputes between Shasta County and Reverge Anselmo led to the 2400 acre winery being sold at an auction late last year. The property sold for just over $8 million, with a Bay Area couple submitting the winning bid.
Since purchasing the vineyard, the couple has been revamping the property, and working with the county to reopen the winery.
The owners are also working with the community to create horseback tours around the property.
The vineyard reopens Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. for lunch, and again from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for dinner, but the recreation center and chapel won’t be ready for another three months.
