Anselmo Vineyards, closed since November, has reopened under new ownership.
A lawsuit forced the 2400 acre vineyard to close just three weeks after it was sold in October for $8.3 million.
Former owner Reverge Anselmo spent nearly $30 million developing the property, but sold it due to a long standing dispute with Shasta County over fines, permit and zoning issues.
In order to make the vineyard's sale possible Anselmo paid the county around $1.3 million to settle the long-running lawsuits, but just weeks later a group called the Inwood Task Force filed a lawsuit, disputing the new re-zoning laws approved under the settlement.
Following the filing of the lawsuit, Anselmo's attorney said the vineyard and the lawsuit had to be shut down to save money while fight the suit, however the restaurant re-opened for lunch and dinner on Saturday February 7.
