Keep that umbrella handy! More wet weather is ahead for the north state in your Friday forecast. Scattered showers are tracking North through the valley to start off the day, and more sustained moisture is expected for the afternoon. Between .25 to .75 inches of rain will be possible for the valley from this system, while 1 to 1.5 inches of rain will be possible in the mountains. There will also be a chance for thunderstorms in your afternoon forecast.
Temperatures are starting out in the mid to high 50's in the valley this morning, and expected to climb into the high 50's to mid 60's this afternoon. Mountain areas are in the mid 30's to low 50's this morning, and will be in the high 40's to mid 50's this afternoon. Winds will be up to 10mph out of the Southeast.
This round of showers will continue until early Saturday morning, before dry conditions return for the remainder of the weekend. Another round of showers will be ahead for Sunday night through Monday. Dry, but cloudy conditions for Tuesday/Wednesday, then a very significant system arrives next week. The System arriving late next week is expected to drop snow levels to below 5000 feet.
I hope everyone stays safe on the roads, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful Weekend!
