The North Valley Community Foundation announces Annie B’s Community Drive raised over $1.3 million in its million in this year’s drive. This was the seventh year of the drive which has generated more than $7 million for local charities in Butte, Glenn, Colusa, and Tehama counties. This year’s drive also includes an 8% matching grant.
According to the foundation’s press release, Annie B’s allows over 5,00o local donors to support a community-wide philanthropic cause. The Annie B’s grant funds are made possible through and anonymous donation of $500,000 distributed over a span of 10 years. In this seventh year, the foundation built a grant pool of nearly $100,000.
Local businesses and individuals who contributed to the Drive as co-challengers this year include: PG&E, Durham Community Foundation, Debbi Rossi, Holbrooks Clearance Center, Stifel Nicolaus, Karen & Brian Sweeney, Joan E. Stoner Certified Public Accountants, Matson & Isom Certified Public Accountants, NorthStar Engineering, Edwards Family Foundation, Apothecary Options, and Anonymous Donors.
The foundation “thanks the North State for its generosity.”
