Anderson road reopens after big rig rollover

Traffic is moving again this morning in Anderson after a big rig rolled over and collided with a pickup at Locust Road and S. Barney Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol the accident happened around 6:40 a.m.

The big rig, carrying a full load of wood chips, took a turn at an unsafe speed and rolled over. The big rig collided with a Ford Ranger pickup that was traveling the opposite direction.

The woman driving the pickup, Rose Garrett, was transported to Mercy Medical Center with a broken ankle, the big rig driver was uninjured.

The road was reopened at 10:16 a.m. after being closed for more than three and a half hours.
