Anderson Police Unit arrests nine in drug sweep

Nine people are arrested in connection with a crack down on drug trafficking in Anderson. The Anderson police department's Problem Oriented Policing Unit conducted a three day operation targeting drug distribution in the City of Anderson.

Officers served two search warrants, conducted three probation searches and made several traffic stops and pedestrian contacts in Anderson. In the end, officers seized 340 grams of methamphetamine, 60 grams of heroin and multiple prescription medications.

The nine arrested are identified as Tammy Jean Caddell, 57, of Anderson, Stephen Anthony Velasquez, 49 of Sacramento, Brandon Douglas Roades, 26, of Anderson, Bobbie Renae Watson, 45, of Anderson, Taniesha Renae Coleman, 23 of Anderson, Daric james Boughton, 38 of Anderson, Ashley Danille Pool, 28 of Anderson, Jazmin Martinez, 22 of Redding and Nicole Lynn Kleeber, 20, of Anderson.

All faced various charges, including possession of a controlled substance for sales, transportation of a controlled substance and maintaining a place where narcotics are used or sold.

The Problem Oriented Policing Unit was assisted by Anderson PD patrol personnnel and members of the Shasta County Interagency narcotics Task Force.
