Anderson police say they arrested a Redding man Thursday night when they found meth and LSD in his car during a traffic stop.

Stephen Melfa, 35, was arrested after officers pulled him over for a traffic violation around 10:30 p.m.

Officers had noticed Melfa moving around in his car before he pulled over and ordered him to get out the car after they learned he was on probation for drug possession.

Melfa admitted to officer that he had 2 ounces of methamphetamine in his car and subsequent search of Melfa's 1998 Volkswagen Jetta revealed LSD, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Melfa was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale, possession of a controlled substance, and a probation violation.
