Anderson Police officers arrested a man early Monday morning inside an Anderson pharmacy that he allegedly burglarized.

Anderson Police arrived at Ferry's Pharmacy just before 2 a.m. Monday and found evidence that the suspect responsible for triggering the alarm was likely still inside.

An original search of the building came up empty, but officers discovered a locked display case had been broken. The Anderson Fire Department brought ladders to the scene and authorities searched the roof, but the suspect was still not located.

The suspect was eventually located by a K-9 officer, he had been hiding inside a locked utility closet.

Police identified the suspect as 25-year-old transient Robert Lee Beaugrand.

Beaugrand was found to be in possession of stolen property from the pharmacy. He was booked into the Shasta County Jail for felony second degree burglary.
