An Anderson man was able to stop a home intruder in his tracks Tuesday evening and then held him outside until police arrived and took him into custody.
Anderson police responded to a disturbance at a home on Spruce Street around 5 p.m. and when they arrived the home owner, Jeremy Vicario, had a man on the ground in front of the home.
Vicario told officers the man, later identified as 51-year-old Michael Madsen, entered his home without permission, and despite being ordered to leave, lurked around the living room. Vicario said he began to fear for his and his wife's safety and forcefully removed Madsen from the home.
Vicario held Madsen on the ground until officers arrived and took him into custody. Madsen was then interviewed and found to be on parole.
