An Anderson man was arrested Sunday after an alleged hit-and-run DUI crash sent a driver to the hospital with a concussion.

Police say Daniel Vincent Romero, 50, fled the scene of an accident at the intersection of North Street and Ventura Street in Anderson.

Witnesses told police a silver Pontiac turned into the path of a Honda Civic just after 4 p.m. Officers located the Pontiac just a few minutes later on North Street at Tremonto Road and arrested Romero.

Police say Romero showed signs of being intoxicated and witnesses said he had been driving erratically in the minutes leading up to the crash.

Romero was booked into the Shasta County Jail for DUI and felony hit-and-run.
