An Anderson man is dead after an accident where he was thrown from his car. It happened around 10 p.m. last night on Clear Creek Road near Cloverdale Road southwest of Redding.
The 34 year-old driver reportedly entered a curve at a high speed. When the car drifted onto the shoulder he tried to bring it back onto the roadway, but over-corrected causing the car to overturn. Authorities say the man had been drinking and was not wearing a seatbelt. He was ejected from the vehicle and received major injuries. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
The two passengers were wearing their seatbelts and received minor injuries.
