An Anderson man was arrested for the 16th time in just over a year after police caught him using an Anderson backyard as a bathroom.

David Dewalt, 57, of Anderson was arrested by police on suspicion of public intoxication around 7:15 p.m. Monday, it is his 16th arrest since January 2014.

Officers reportedly found him lying in some bushes on the side of a North Street home, and according to a news release, when they ordered Dewalt out of the bushes he lifted up his legs and showed his hands and rear end, which were covered in feces.

The homeowner was contacted and told police they did not know Dewalt, and had not given him permission to use the property for any reason, especially as a bathroom.

DEWALT was taken into custody and booked into the Shasta County Jail for Misdemeanor Public Intoxication.

In November, Dewalt was arrested for public intoxication when he reportedly drunkenly ran across Highway 273, causing his dog to be struck by a car.
