A new Village Post Office is now open at Frontier Feed and Saddlery in Anderson, offering residents a convenient alternative to traditional post offices.

The feed store, located at 5544 Deschutes Road, held a post office grand opening ceremony Thursday.

In addition to livestock products, customers will now be able to buy Forever Stamps, drop off prepaid mail and packages and pick up Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes and envelopes. Village Post Offices are convenient for customers across the country because they often offer expanded business hours, including Sundays and holidays.

Postal Service Representatives say there around 50 Village Post Offices in the Sacramento District, with nearly 15 of those between Tehama County and the Oregon border.
