Investigators are trying to figure out if two armed robberies this past week are related. Chico police say Friday night, a man robbed the Circle-K 76-station on Park Avenue. The clerk said he had a black handgun with him and he threatened to use it. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and with out a trace. Investigators say he is approximately a 65-year-old white male about 5ft. 10in. weighing about 140lbs. He was wearing a green baseball hat, a heavy coat, blue jeans, black boots, and a surgical mask. They say he handed the clerk a note demanding money.
Investigators are looking into whether it was the same man who robbed a Shell station Thursday on Oro Dam Boulevard in Oroville. If you think you recognize him, please call Chico police.
