Organizers of the 2015 Almond Bowl car giveaway say this year’s raffle was another big hit, raising more than $200,000 for the Chico and Pleasant Valley High School athletic programs.
This year’s raffle raised $204,000 and one woman had the winning $20 ticket, meaning she was able to take home a brand new Nissan Sentra. The car was donated by Chico Nissan Hyundai.
All the money raised will pay for nearly all the costs of Chico and PV’s athletic programs. Since the car giveaway started six years ago the program has raised $920,000.
