All lanes have re-opened after SUV collides with big rig on I-5 North

Around 10:15 a.m. an SUV collided with a big rig on I-5 Northbound near Shasta Dam Boulevard.

California Highway Patrol officers say that the driver of the SUV was traveling the wrong way on the Shasta Dam off ramp and was traveling at a high rat of speed when she struck the big rig.

Traffic was temporarily diverted around the collision, but at this time all lanes have re-opened.

The driver of the SUV was taken by ambulance for medical treatment and the driver of the big rig was uninjured.
