The African American Family & Cultural Center in Oroville is hosting a Kwanzaa event for the entire community. The celebration runs from December 26th through January first.
The Center is located at 3300 Spencer Avenue in Oroville. The Kwanzaa celebration will include music, dance, poetry, drumming, speakers, family progrms, education about Kwanzaa and Refreshments.
Day 1: Umoja (Unity) 6-7:30 p.m., Day 2: Kuichagulia (Self-Determination) 4-5:30 p.m., Day 3: Ujima (Collective Work & Responsibility) 4-5:30 p.m., Day 4: Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) 6-7:30 p.m., Day 5: Nia (Purpose) 6-7:30 p.m., Day 6: Kuumba (Creativity) and a Free Feast (Karamu) sponsored by First 5 Butte County 6-8 p.m. Day 7: Imani( Faith) 4-5:30 p.m.
