The Paradise Dancers are a non-profit organization created in 1998 by Don Wolheim after his son and friends were interested in Ballroom dance. The organization offers Ballroom dance lessons free of charge to all students on the ridge.
Paradise Dancers offer classes throughout the week that cater to students as young as seven. They do not have an age limit, since they want to encourage everyone to learn a “timeless form of exercise and expression.”
Adult classes do have fees attached to them, but the organization wrote, it’s a low rate compared to other studios in the area.
The organization puts on two performances throughout the year, but said in the past year there has been a decline in student attendance. Now, the organization is possibly in danger of closing its doors.
