SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A woman known as the face of San Francisco Bay Area's nude rights movement was married in front of City Hall wearing only a veil.
Taub — a Berkeley mother of three — has conducted naked interviews on public access television. She has been arrested repeatedly for violating San Francisco's public nudity ban.
The ceremony began on City Hall's steps around noon Thursday, but 44-year-old Gypsy Taub and her bridegroom, 20-year-old Jaymz Smith, were escorted by authorities to the sidewalk.
She began the wedding in a light dress, but she was wearing only her bridal veil by the end of the ceremony.
Afterward, the married couple danced on the sidewalk until police cited them for violating the nudity law.
She, her husband and several of her guests received citations.
